New Dancers

What happens on a club night?

Generally we start dancing at 7.30pm and break for a brew after an hour. Dancing then continues until 9.45pm. The caller will walk everybody through each dance first to make sure everybody knows what to do and then the music will start.
Don't worry about not knowing the different steps, there are plenty of people to help you and making mistakes is the best way of learning!

What will it cost?

We always welcome new dancers, feel free to come along for a taster evening - it won't cost you a penny! After that we charge £1.50 per person per week and there is an annual membership payable of £2.00 per person.

What do I need to bring?

Not a lot. Comfortable flat shoes and a mug for your brew (it saves on washing up). Some people prefer to bring along a bottle of water too. When you arrive somebody will take you under their wing.

Do I need a partner?

No, there are other members who come on their own but if you are new you might feel happier dancing with somebody you know; why not persuade a friend to come too?
